ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system to link a secondary account to a primary account with an account management module associated with the primary account.SOLUTION: The system includes an account opening module, a secondary account holder management module, a merchant control module and category control module, a security management module, and a marketplace control module. The account opening module links a secondary account to a primary account. The secondary account holder management module controls funds in an independent source portion. The merchant control module and category control module executes a step that enables control of a primary account holder's access to and using funds in the dependent source portion of the secondary account associated with a secondary account holder, by limiting spending funds to a transaction within a certain category or with a specific merchant. The security management module executes a step that the system manages security level of the secondary account. The marketplace control module executes a step of controlling where or how the secondary account holder may spend funds from the secondary account.
