Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore magnetic information even when magnetic information contained in a magnetic stripe on a received passbook is hard to read, to thereby enable the transaction.SOLUTION: When magnetic information on a passbook received by a passbook processing part 11 is hard to read, a control section 12 analyzes a piece of information on an end leaf of the passbook optically read by the passbook processing part 11 and refers the obtained information of the passbook to a host computer 1. When relevant passbook is found, the control section 12 analyzes the information on an entry page of the passbook optically read by the passbook processing part 11 based on the information noticed from the host computer 1 and refers the information at a print position to the host computer 1. When the information at the print position coincides with each other, the magnetic information notified by the host computer 1 is written on the passbook to thereby restore the magnetic information.
