Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device using multiple solid light-emitting diodes (LEDs) which causes less luminance unevenness even in the event such as a failure of an LED in an open mode.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device 1 comprises multiple LED groups 2G having multiple LEDs 2 placed close to each other and connected in series. The light-emitting device 1 is constructed such that potential differences between LEDs 2 in each LED group 2G are the same, and constructed such that each of LED groups 2G is connected in parallel to each other and potential differences between the groups are the same. With this arrangement, even in the event such as a failure of an LED 2 in an open mode, any LED group 2G is not turned off as a whole and therefore luminance unevenness can be reduced because current continues to flow through other LEDs 2.
