PYROELECTRIC INFRARED SENSOR AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pyroelectric infrared sensor facilitating manufacture, reducing the manufacturing cost and further securing a viewing angle and airtightness, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The pyroelectric infrared sensor includes: a sensor element 5 having at least one or more pyroelectric plates for detecting infrared ray applied to a receiving surface; a circuit substrate 4 for mounting the sensor element 5 and means for converting and outputting impedance of an output signal of the sensor element 5; a case 2 for covering the circuit substrate 4 and having an opening 2a; and an infrared transmission filter 3 mounted on the case 2. The case 2 includes a step 2b having the opening 2a in the internal direction, a groove 2c is formed at least a part of the bottom part of the step 2b, the infrared transmission filter 3 is mounted on the step 2b, and a gap between the step 2b and the infrared transmission filter 3 is filled with an adhesive 7.
