Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a low-yield-ratio high-strength electrical resistance welded tube with TS of 655 MPa or higher.SOLUTION: Steel raw material containing, by mass, C: 0.38-0.45%, Si: 0.15-0.25%, Mn: 1.0-1.8%, P: 0.03% or less, S: 0.03% or less, sol.Al: 0.01-0.07%, and N: 0.005% or less is made into a hot-rolled steel strip by performing a finishing rolling at a finishing-rolling start temperature of 950°C or lower and a finishing-rolling end temperature in a range of 820-920°C, and the hot-rolled steel strip is coiled up at a coiling temperature in a range of 650-800°C after the finishing rolling. The coiled hot-rolled steel strip is made into the electrical resistance welded tube by performing a tubulation process including supplying, molding, and electrical resistance welding at a room temperature without heating, thereby obtaining such an electrical resistance welded tube that exhibits a material variation in a longitudinal direction of the tube even lower than TS:20 MPa, and has a low yield ratio of yield ratio: 80% or lower, and high strength of yield strength YS: 379-552 MPa and tensile strength TS: 655 MPa or higher.
