APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING DRY ICE PELLET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing a dry ice pellet capable of selectively supplying only dry ice pellets to a device or vessel using dry ice without mixing snowy dry ice.SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing the dry ice pellet is mainly constituted of a cylindrical molding container 1 which houses snowy dry ice, a nozzle part 2 where many molding holes are opened, and a hydraulic cylinder device 3 which moves a pressing plate 31 back and forth. On the tip side of the nozzle part 2, a switching unit 5 is disposed which switches the delivery direction of discharged dry ice between the delivery direction (A) of dry ice pellets and the delivery direction (B) of snowy dry ice, and a control means controls the switching unit so that, on the basis of signals from a sensor 9 which detects hydraulic pressure of a pressing side of the cylinder device 3, when the peak value of hydraulic pressure is not less than a predetermined value, the delivery direction is switched to the delivery direction (A), and when the peak value of hydraulic pressure is less than the predetermined value, the delivery direction is switched to the delivery direction (B).
