HIGH FREQUENCY AMPLIFIER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency amplifier that implements a high accuracy power compensation process by configuring an automatic gain control system including an output power detection section.SOLUTION: The high frequency amplifier includes: a power amplification section for amplifying the output power of a transmission signal; a directional coupler for outputting the transmission signal whose output power has been amplified by the power amplification section to an output section, and outputting the transmission-power-amplified transmission signal as a feedback signal; the power detection section for detecting the output power of the transmission signal output from the directional coupler to output a power detection signal; a signal conversion section for outputting the feedback signal in a converted signal form; a feedback gain compensation section for computing a difference between the converted feedback signal and the power detection signal, and adjusting a signal level of the feedback signal input into the power amplification section according to the difference; and a DPD processing section for adjusting the amplitude and phase of transmission data so as to reduce an error between the transmission signal and the feedback signal.
