PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device with a high-quality image by suppressing an influence exerted on an image display even if generating cross talk.SOLUTION: The plasma display device includes a plurality of coding tables of display combination sets having different number of gray scales to be displayed according to the combination (coding) of used subfields. When the signal level of an image signal other than an image signal of a specific color (blue) has a prescribed threshold (a gray scale) or more, a display combination set (a second coding table) for use in the image signal of the specific color (blue) has a fewer number of combinations than that of the display combination set (a first coding table) for use in the image signal of the specific color (blue) when the signal level of the image signal other than the specific color (blue) is less than the prescribed threshold.
