Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt type continuously variable transmission that prevents wear of an element or a pulley by correcting the attitude of the element with respect to the pulley.SOLUTION: In the belt type continuously variable transmission CVT, there is an angular difference between the rotation axis line direction of a first pulley 16 and the rotation axis line direction of a second pulley 17, so that the angle formed by both right and left side surfaces of a belt 1 of an element 2 and a groove surface of the first or second pulley 16, 17 is brought close to a regular angle between the both side surfaces in an aligned state, when the element 2 advances obliquely to a groove of the first or second pulley 16, 17 with respect to a surface including a center axis line of the first or second pulley 16, 17, while the groove-width-direction center position of the first pulley 16 is misaligned with the groove-width-direction center position of the second pulley 17 during travelling of a belt 1.
