END PLATE AND ROTOR FOR ROTATING ELECTRIC MACHINE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end plate for a rotating electric machine rotor enabling suppression of an eddy current loss while reducing manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: An end plate 16 comprises a magnetic material pressing an axial end face of a rotor core 14 in which a permanent magnet 20 is embedded, and includes a projecting part 44 brought into pressure contact with a top of an axial end face 17 of the rotor core 14 when attached to a rotor 10 and a recessed part 46 which is not brought into contact with the axial end face 17. The projecting part 44 is formed so as to come into contact with only one of a d-axis magnetic path region and a q-axis magnetic path region formed within the rotor core 14 by the permanent magnet 20.
