MOLD CHARACTER TYPE RECOGNITION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of stably recognizing mold characters with high reliability.SOLUTION: A mold character type recognition device includes: positioning processing means for performing the positioning of a measurement shape and a reference shape by performing the positioning of a measurement point and a reference point on the basis of successive convergence processing for performing successive convergence; and mold character type evaluation means for evaluating a mold character type based on the measurement shape specified by the measurement point and the reference shape specified by the reference point after the positioning processing performed by the positioning processing means. The mold character type evaluation means includes: a difference calculation part for calculating difference quantity showing a difference between the measurement shape and the reference shape whose positioning has been performed; and a character type determination part for specifying the character type of a mold character shown by the measurement shape from the difference quantity.
