Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyance device that prevents collision of adjacent recording mediums to be continuously conveyed and reduction in print quality, and to provide a recording apparatus and method.SOLUTION: A printer includes: an upstream conveyance unit that intermittently conveys continuous sheets from upstream to downstream in a conveyance direction; a downstream conveyance unit that is provided more downstream than the upstream conveyance unit in the conveyance direction and continuously conveys the continuous sheets; and a control apparatus that controls the upstream and downstream conveyance units. The control apparatus conveys the continuous sheets via the downstream conveyance unit at the same speed as an upstream conveyance speed V1 for using the upstream conveyance unit to convey the continuous sheets, or a first downstream conveyance speed V2 that is faster than the upstream conveyance speed V1.
