PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resume a normal operation by identifying an occurrence location of malfunction even if operation of each unit is stopped due to the malfunction etc in a control circuit that controls each unit of a printing apparatus.SOLUTION: The printing apparatus includes a control unit that compares an information sequence where a restoration point is defined at a position of a specific task between start and completion in the sequence where a plurality of tasks are arranged in a chronological order, with an execution sequence including data logs of the tasks that are actually executed, and returns to the restoration point and executes the specific task when an unmatched point between the information sequence and the executed sequence is found.
