PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photography system for permitting a user to intuitively and clearly set optical environment with a simple operation.SOLUTION: The photography system (1) includes: an illuminating device (10) including a light source portion, an optical environment control portion controlling the optical environment of illumination light which the light source portion radiates, a first communication portion transmitting and receiving data with an imaging device, and a first control portion controlling the optical environment of the illumination light radiated from the light source portion based on data on the optical environment, which is received from the imaging device; and the imaging device (20) including an imaging portion, a second communication portion transmitting/receiving data with the illuminating device, an operation input acquirement portion displaying view information on the optical environment on a screen and acquiring operation input of the user to the view information and a second control portion generating the data on the optical environment of the illumination light which the light source portion radiates based on the operation input acquired by the operation input acquirement portion and transmitting the data on the optical environment to the illuminating device via the second communication portion.
