Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical film comprising an acrylic resin, in which the optical film achieves the reduction of sticking of foreign matters or occurrence of flaws and improves optical characteristics such as retardation unevenness although the optical film includes an easily-adhesive layer and is subjected to trimming processing.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an optical film comprises: a step of melting a thermoplastic resin including an acrylic polymer and film-forming to form the belt-shaped original film; a step of longitudinally stretching the formed original film; a step of laterally stretching the longitudinally stretched original film to form an optical film; and a step of winding the optical film, and these steps are continuously executed. The method further comprises a step of applying an easily-adhesive composition on a surface of the original film between the longitudinal stretching step and the lateral stretching step. In the lateral stretching step, the applied film of the easily-adhesive composition formed on the surface of the film is dried by the heat applied to the original film to form an easily-adhesive layer. The method further comprises a step of trimming the optical film between the lateral stretching step and the winding step.
