Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination structure for a display device for vehicle that can stably hold a liquid crystal display device even when the number of parts is reduced and provide backlight.SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal display storing recess 14a which is formed recessedly in a meter housing member 14, a liquid crystal display device 19 having a liquid crystal glass part 20 for displaying each type of information is held by a holder part 25 formed by a plurality of horizontal engaging claws 24... and a light guide member 23 is provided. The light guide member 23 includes a light emitting surface part 26a shown through a liquid crystal display opening 18a formed so as to open in a circuit board 18 on which a liquid crystal backlight LED illumination device 22 is provided. The liquid crystal glass part 20 is provided in parallel to the light emitting surface part 26a and held to emit backlight illumination light by transmitting it from a rear face side to a surface side.
