Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system eliminating expansion and contraction of an image on the side of an image forming apparatus body, and irregularity in folding size on the side of a sheet folding system even when the system is fitted to the image forming apparatus body in which sheet conveyance is driven intermittently.SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus which includes: the image forming apparatus body 200 provided with a sheet feed/conveying means 210 conveying a sheet P to an image forming means 220 forming the image on the sheet, and a paper sheet discharge/conveying means 230 discharging the sheet P on which the image is formed; and a sheet folding system 1 provided with a sheet folding means 30 folding the sheet P, on which the image is formed, according to specified specifications, a sheet receiving means 10 receiving the sheet P, a feeding means 20 conveying the sheet P from the sheet receiving means 10 to the sheet folding means 30, and a sheet discharge/conveying means 50 discharging a folded-up sheet bundle Pb, a sheet detention means 80 is arranged between the image forming means 220 and the sheet folding means 30 to detain the sheet P from being conveyed downstream.
