Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marker related to a stalk sugar content in the quantitative properties of sugarcane.SOLUTION: Many markers in sugarcane are prepared, and the linkages of the markers to quantitative traits in a hybrid progeny system are analyzed. A marker linked to the quantitative trait for increasing the stalk sugar content is found. The sugarcane-stalk-sugar-content-related marker comprises a region sandwiched between the specific base sequence in the sugarcane nucleotide chromosome, and a continuous nucleic acid sequence selected from a region sandwiched between a plurality of the specific base sequences.
