PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device capable of easily obtaining an image that is given the same effect of the image obtained by panning even when a subject moves in the depth direction, for example.SOLUTION: At the time of generating a panning image, continuous imaging is performed in a CMOS sensor 12. A motion detection unit 15 not only detects a motion of a subject imaged in each image but also identifies a moving speed and a direction of movement of a dynamic body. A position adjustment unit 17 detects a head position for the moving direction of the dynamic body contained in a plurality of images to adjust the position of the dynamic body so that the detected head positions become the same position on each image. A composition unit 18 performs filter processing for the image after position adjustment of the dynamic body supplied by the position adjustment unit 17 to synthesize images obtained by filter processing. The present invention is applicable to a digital camera.
