MANUFACTURING METHOD OF OPTICAL ELEMENT PACKAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an optical element package capable of improving workability of hermetic sealing.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method includes: an optical fiber bonding step for inserting an optical fiber 13, which includes an optical fiber wire part 13b consisting of an optical fiber wire and an optical fiber coating part 13c for coating the optical fiber wire, into an optical fiber insertion pipe 14 supported by a case 12, to bond the optical fiber wire part 13b and an optical element 11 retained in the case 12; a temporarily fixing step for using a holding member 16 to temporarily fix the optical fiber coating part 13 to the optical fiber insertion pipe 14; a sealing step for using a hermetic sealing member 17 to apply hermetic sealing to the case 12 between the optical fiber wire part 13b and the optical fiber insertion pipe 14; and a reinforcement step for using a reinforcing adhesive agent 18 to fix the optical fiber coating part 13c, which is temporarily fixed to the optical fiber insertion pipe 14, to the optical fiber insertion pipe 14 in a reinforcing manner.
