WATER HEATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage type water heater which prevents a hot water pipe in a sub-heat exchanger from being overheated during a reheating operation of a bath.SOLUTION: The water heater includes a sub-heat exchanger 7 including a heat-exchanging pipe 15 disposed above a hot water storage chamber including a flue tube 6 disposed above a combustion chamber, and is provided with a heat exchanger 9 for a bath in an inner upper part of the hot water storage chamber 3. In the water heater, the heat exchanging pipe 15 and a water supply pipe 16 are connected, a circulation heat exchanger 17 is disposed in an inner lower part of the hot water storage chamber 3, the heat exchanging pipe 15 and the circulation heat exchanger 17 are connected via a connection pipe 18, and the circulation heat exchanger 17 and the water supply pipe 16 are connected via a circulation return pipe 21 provided with a circulation pump 23 and a check valve 22. Thereby, the heat exchanging pipe 15 in the sub-heat exchanger section 7 can be prevented from being overheated by combustion gas generated in the combustion chamber 5 by heat-exchanging tap water in the heat exchanging pipe 15 in the sub-heat exchanger 7 with the circulation heat exchanger 17.
