Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a magnesium alloy material which can manufacture a magnesium alloy material having an anticorrosion layer with sufficient productivity.SOLUTION: Mechanical polishing is given with a grinding belt 11 without performing degreasing treatment to a stock plate 100 consisting of a magnesium alloy, and for which rolling has been performed, thereby a ground plate 101 is produced. Following the mechanical polishing, the ground plate 101 is immersed in a treatment tank 21, and chemical conversion treatment (corrosion prevention treatment) is performed, thereby a corrosion prevention treatment plate (a chemical conversion treatment plate 102) is produced. After grinding, corrosion prevention treatment such as chemical conversion treatment is performed to the ground plate 101 without setting a time, thereby forming of an oxide film is inhibited, and an anticorrosion layer (a chemical conversion layer) can be formed to a newly generated surface formed by grinding. The manufacturing method, in corrosion prevention treatment such as chemical conversion treatment, omits degreasing and pretreatment such as acid etching, thereby the magnesium alloy material can be manufactured with sufficient productivity.
