Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food cooking vessel for cooking utilizing steam generated by heating and to prevent deformation caused by cooling after the heating.SOLUTION: The food cooking vessel 7 includes a barrel body 10 and a lid 20 fitted to the barrel body 10 in a sealed state. The barrel body 10 includes a first fitting portion 15 including an upper end part 16 of a side wall 12 and a step 17 formed inside the upper end part 16. The lid 20 includes a second fitting portion 25 including: a closely contacting portion 26 coming in close contact with the upper end part 16 of the side wall 12 of the first fitting portion 15 in a fitted state; and a brim portion 27 coming in close contact with a side face of the step 17 of the first fitting portion 15 in the fitted state. First grooves 31a and 31b are formed in a side face of the step 17 of the first fitting portion 15. The first grooves 31a and 31b work so as to make air pass through the food cooking vessel 7 from outside when the food cooking vessel 7 is deformed on cooling after the heating in order to prevent deformation of the food cooking vessel 7.
