IMAGE READER AND IMAGE FORMATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader capable of reducing image defects in a generated document image.SOLUTION: An image reader 200 comprises: a first roller pair 230; a second roller pair 240; a sensor 250; a reading part 260; an image processing part 350; and a CPU 310. The first roller pair 230 is a roller pair for feeding a document. The second roller pair 240 is disposed downstream from the first roller pair 230. The sensor 250 is a member for detecting the rear end of the document fed by the first roller pair 230 and the second roller pair 240, and is disposed downstream from the first roller pair 230 and in the vicinity of first roller pair 230. The reading part 260 is disposed movably with reference to a preset regulation position, between the first roller pair 230 and the second roller pair 240 and reads the image of the document located between the roller pairs. An image processing part 350 processes the image read by the reading part 260. The CPU 310 controls each part.
