Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device which suppress the degradation of image quality and can change a projection direction.SOLUTION: An image display device comprises: a fixed portion 20 which stores a cooling fan 23, and has an upstream opening portion 38a for discharging air from the cooling fan 23; a tilt portion 30 which has a downstream opening portion 38b for taking in the air discharged from the upstream opening portion 38a, and stores an image display device body 100 for projecting an image; and a hinge portion 25 which is a shaft for rotating the tilt portion 30 from the fixed portion 20. The hinge portion 25 is controlled so as to make the projection in a vertical direction of the upstream opening portion 38a from the lowest point of the upstream opening portion 38a intersect the downstream opening portion 38b.
