Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and kit for detecting the occurrence of liver cancer in a hepatopathy patient and predicting a risk thereof quickly and with high specificity.SOLUTION: The method analyzes an amount and/or enzyme activity of a von Willebrand factor-degrading enzyme in a sample. The kit is a latex reagent which includes an antibody specifically bonding to a von Willebrand factor-degrading enzyme (preferably, a polyclonal antibody) or a fragment thereof, and preferably carries the antibody or fragment.
