SOLID FUEL FEEDING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid fuel feeding apparatus capable of safely feeding solid fuel to a boiler.SOLUTION: The solid fuel is charged into a charging port 41 of a charging chute 4, the solid fuel is accumulated in a screw conveyer 5 through the charging chute 4, the surface position of the solid fuel accumulated in the screw conveyer 5 is measured by a non-contact type level meter 6, and the solid fuel accumulated in the screw conveyer 5 is conveyed to the boiler 2. Thereby, the solid fuel can be safely fed to the boiler 2 by charging the solid fuel to the charging chute 4 so as to stabilize the surface position of the solid fuel without requiring measurement of the weight of the solid fuel accumulated in the screw conveyer 5.
