Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for screening an anticancer substance inhibiting TM4SF5-mediated tumor formation, development and metastasis, to provide the anticancer substance screened using the method, especially a sulfonamide or sulfonate chalcone-based compound, and to provide an anticancer composition containing the anticancer compound as an effective ingredient.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the method for screening an anticancer substance, comprising: culturing cancer cells expressing the oncogenic protein TM4SF5 (transmembrane 4 L6 family member 5) expressing the polypeptide of a specific sequence; treating the cancer cells with an anticancer candidate substance, and screening the substance exhibiting antagonistic activity against tumor formation and metastasis based on several events through various molecular mechanisms relating to the expression of TM4SF5, as the anticancer substance. The present invention also relates to chalcone-based compounds screened using the method, and an anticancer composition comprising the compound as an effective ingredient.
