Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small size semiconductor light emitting device which controls the orientation, is highly reliable, and does not easily cause inclination when mounting the semiconductor light emitting device.SOLUTION: A light emission substrate 3 and a stopper substrate 4 are disposed so as to sandwich an electrode substrate 1. Light emitting elements 2 are disposed in an opening 3a of the light emission substrate 3. The stopper substrate 4 is formed so that a soldered region, used when external electrodes 7 are mounted, is exposed. Further, the stopper substrate 4 has protruding parts 41 supporting the electrode substrate 1 from the external electrode side relative to a mount substrate and a beam part 42 intersecting the protrusion parts 41. In this structure, the protruding parts 41 prevent the electrode substrate 1 from inclining when the electrode substrate 1 is mounted to prevent manhattan phenomenon. The beam part 42 prevents the deformation of the electrode substrate 1 during bonding and secures the reliability of the bonding.
