PAPER MONEY PROCESSING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect a paper money having a fold just after feeding-out when such a paper money is fed out of a reception/payment section.SOLUTION: In the case where a paper money 23 having folded portions 23a for which it is highly possible to incur paper money jam if conveyed in a paper money conveyance path is fed out of a reception/payment section 1, just after feeding-out, the right and left folded portions 23a of that paper money 23 are caused to collide with an end face 21b, at a downstream side of a paper money conveyance direction, of a chute portion 21 provided in a curved portion A of a paper money guide plate 14, thereby incurring a skew in the paper money 23, and that skew is detected by a sensor 22 which is disposed at a downstream side of the chute portion 21, or detected by monitoring a time of arrival at the sensor 22.
