IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can be further miniaturized.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a photoreceptor drum 52, an electrifier 100 electrifying the photoreceptor drum 52, and an exposure device (LED unit 40) exposing the photoreceptor drum 52. The electrifier 100 includes a wire electrode 110 extending in the axial direction of the photoreceptor drum 52, a grid electrode 120 arranged to face the photoreceptor drum 52 between the wire electrode 110 and the photoreceptor drum 52 and having a grid surface 121, and a pair of shield electrodes 131 and 132 oppositely arranged across the wire electrode 110 and extending in a direction nearly orthogonal to the grid electrode 120. The grid surface 121 is more inclined with respect to a surface PL2 orthogonal to a plane PL1 including the wire electrode 110 and the rotation center C of the photoreceptor drum 52 than the plane PL1, so that the grid electrode 120 and the shield electrode 131 get closer to the photoreceptor drum 52 on the downstream side in the rotational direction of the photoreceptor drum 52.
