Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire, which has outstanding low heat generation nature (high mileage), wet grip performance, and abrasion resistance; and to provide a pneumatic tire in which the rubber composition for a tire is used for each member of a tire (especially for a tread).SOLUTION: The rubber composition for a tire includes: a diene polymer; silica; and a compound expressed with a dithiocarbamic acid derivative, wherein the diene polymer is a modified diene polymer which is obtained by making the following (A) and (B) react with each other, and the rubber composition for a tire includes 5-23 parts by mass of the compound expressed with the dithiocarbamic acid derivative based on 100 parts by mass of the rubber component: (A): under the presence of the following (C), an active conjugated diene polymer having an alkali metal terminal which is obtained by polymerizing a conjugated diene monomer or a conjugated diene monomer and an aromatic vinyl monomer, (B): a modifier which has a functional group, (C): a chemical species which is obtained by making a compound expressed with a divinyl derivative and an organoalkali metal compound react with each other.
