OPTICAL CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector with good connection workability and high connection reliability which always keeps a good energizing force toward a connected direction.SOLUTION: An optical connector includes a ferrule 13 mounted on the end of an optical fiber cable 41, a housing 12 which houses the ferrule 13, a leaf spring 14 which energizes the ferrules 13 toward the end side in the housing 12, and a spring bending prevention projection 72 formed on the rear end side of the ferrule 13 in the housing 12 and regulating the movement of the ferrule 13 toward the rear end side resisting against the energizing force of the leaf spring 14 at a prescribed position.
