PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens holding device that allows a large number of lens holding items to be detachably fitted to supporting rods with no fear of oscillation.SOLUTION: A lens holding device comprises a lens holding item 5 having arms (first to third arms 11 to 13) for holding spectacle lenses and projecting pieces 21, and two supporting rods (an upper supporting rod 3 and a lower supporting rod 4) extending in the horizontal direction in parallel to each other, wherein each projecting piece 21 has a hook-shaped part 23 to detachably and rotatably engage with the upper supporting rod 3 and an engaging part 24 to engage with the lower supporting rod 4; a large number of concaves (small diameter parts 3a and 4a) into which the hook-shaped part 23 and the engaging part 24 are to be fitted are formed in the upper supporting rod 3 and the lower supporting rod 4; and the arms are positioned below projecting pieces 33 in a state in which the hook-shaped part 23 is fitted into and engages with a concave in the upper supporting rod 3 and at the same time the engaging part 24 is fitted into and engages with a concave in the lower supporting rod 4.
