SURFACE INSPECTION METHOD FOR ELECTRIC CONNECTION PART OF INSULATOR TYPE GAS INSULATED SWITCHGEAR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface inspecting method for an electric connection member of an insulator type gas insulated switchgear in which method a surface condition of a contact piece can be easily measured.SOLUTION: In a surface inspection method for an electric connection member of an insulator type gas insulated switchgear 10, a projection member 26 is projected from a tip of a movable contact piece 23, a distance between a tip of the projection member 26 and a tip of a fixed contact part 25 is set to a predetermined distance, and a voltage is then applied between the projection member 26 and the fixed contact part 25 to cause partial discharge 50 from the tip of the projection member 26. Reflection waves of X-rays generated by the partial discharge 50 from the tip of the movable contact piece 23 and the tips the fixed contact part 25 are detected by an X-ray detection unit 40 disposed outside a container 21. Surface conditions of the tip of the movable contact piece 23 and the tips of the fixed contact part 25 are evaluated based on the detection results.
