PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sunshade device that facilitates a shade assembling operation and its return operation.SOLUTION: The sunshade device 1 includes: a pair of shade guide rails 2; the shade 3 that has both the side edges guided by the shade guide rails 2, so as to open/close an indoor opening R2; and a winding shaft 5 for taking up the shade 3. When pulled out from the winding shaft 5, both the side edges of the shade 3 are guided in a folded state by the shade guide rails 2 after a folding stroke 34 having a folding width gradually increased toward the leading end side of the shade 3. A folded introduction part 31, which is formed in the state of being joined to the body part 3b of the shade 3 by folding back the side edge 3a of the shade 3, is preprovided at each of both the side edges of the leading end of the shade 3. The folded introduction part 31 is formed with a predetermined length along the shade 3 n the opening/closing direction from the leading end of the shade 3.
