Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-borne noncombustible rock wool insulation and construction method thereof, which have both of excellent heat insulating properties and incombustibility.SOLUTION: An air-borne noncombustible insulation formed of rock wool combined with a synthetic resin is characterized in that (a) the synthetic resin is a copolymer of at least two selected from ethylene, butadiene, vinyl chloride, styrene, vinyl acetate, a fatty acid vinyl ester having a long chain with a carbon number of 4 or more, siloxane, acrylonitrile, acrylic acid alkyl ester, alkyl methacrylate ester, and a derivative thereof, (b) the content of the synthetic resin is 1.5 to 8 mass% when converted to solid content in the insulation, and (c) the insulation has an apparent density of 0.12 to 0.30 g/cm.
