PACKAGING AND FILLING APPARATUS AND PACKAGING FILLING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing and filling apparatus capable of detecting attachment to a knife and a folder.SOLUTION: In the packing and filling apparatus forming a web-like packing material into a tube, filling a liquid food in the tube-like packing material, laterally sealing the same material and cutting the same at the lateral seal band area to manufacture a packing vessel, the apparatus has a cutting tool composed of a blade part 42a and a body 42b and cutting the same material by repeated forward/backward movements, a cutting holder 43 accommodating the cutting tool, and parallelism detecting means 44 mounted on the deep surface of the cutting holder oppositely to the back surface of the body of the cutting tool to detect the parallelism of the back surface; and the apparatus controls the manufacture of the packing vessel based on a detection signal.
