Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a series hybrid vehicle control system that enables fail-safe travel to move a vehicle to a target place by self-travel when abnormal conditions or faults are caused to information transmission between components, by carrying out coordination control of a plurality of components carried in a hybrid vehicle.SOLUTION: The control system includes a hybrid control part 11, an engine control part 10 that controls an engine 7 based on command information received from the hybrid control part 11 and an operation status of the engine 7, and communication fault detection means 10a, 11a that detect faults in communication between the hybrid control part 11 and the engine control part 10. When due to the faults in the communication between the hybrid control part 11 and the engine control part 10, the engine control part 10 cannot receive command information from the hybrid control part 11, each of the engine control part 10 and the hybrid control part 11 performs control following the preliminarily set sequence.
