RECEIVER ESTIMATING AND COMPENSATING FOR IQ MISMATCH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless receiver which estimates and compensates for IQ mismatch.SOLUTION: The receiver comprises: a first mixer 114a which performs downward conversion (downconverting) of an RF signal and provides an in-phase component of the RF signal to an in-phase channel; a second mixer 114b which performs downward conversion of an RF signal and provides a quadrature component of the RF signal to a quadrature channel; amplification means 116a, 116b arranged in the in-phase channel and the quadrature channel for amplifying the in-phase component and the quadrature component respectively; a mismatch estimation unit 230 which converts the amplified in-phase component and quadrature component into a frequency region, and estimates a gain mismatch value and a phase mismatch value based on the converted components; and a mismatch compensation unit 232 which compensates mismatch of a received signal based on the gain mismatch value and phase mismatch value thus estimated.
