PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in adaptive streaming that moving image display is disturbed when a type of video stream to be reproduced is switched.SOLUTION: A moving image reproducer 12 includes a reproduction unit 40 for performing video stream reproduction processing in which a picture included in a chunk in video stream is decoded and displayed, and a control unit 30 for instructing the start of the reproduction processing. When a reproduction target is switched to second video stream corresponding to a second bit rate at the time of reproduction processing on first video stream corresponding to a first bit rate, the reproduction unit 40 continues the reproduction processing on a chunk in the first video stream, which is being subjected to the reproduction processing. When a picture included in a chunk in the second video stream is identical to a picture included in the chunk being subjected to the reproduction processing, the control unit 30 instructs the reproduction unit 40 not to display the identical picture at the time of reproduction processing on the chunk in the second video stream.
