WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICE CAPABLE OF TRANSMITTING/RECEIVING VEHICLE POSITION INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce amount of information to transmit in a wireless communication device which is installed in a vehicle or on a road and is capable of transmitting/receiving vehicle information concerning an own vehicle or other vehicles and position information represented by latitude and longitude concerning the vehicle information from/to the own vehicle to/from the other vehicles or from/to the road to/from the vehicles.SOLUTION: A wireless communication device comprises: position information reduction means for reducing at least one part of latitude and longitude information in position information to transmit according to a communication condition determined based on vehicle information; and position information restoration means for restoring the latitude and longitude information reduced at its transmission from the received position information based on the communication condition.
