Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave device in which an input electric signal is converted into a surface acoustic wave and then converted again into an electric signal after being processed based on the propagation characteristics thereof on a piezoelectric substrate, the performance is improved without increasing the cost, and variation in characteristics is avoided stably and reliably.SOLUTION: The surface acoustic wave device comprises a wave transmission electrode which is formed on a piezoelectric substrate and converts an electric signal into an elastic wave, and a wave reception electrode which converts the elastic wave arrived via the piezoelectric substrate into an electric signal. The surface acoustic wave device is further provided with a propagation speed adjuster which is applied or formed in a region on the piezoelectric substrate sandwiched by the wave transmission electrode and the wave reception electrode, and arranges the propagation speed of the surface acoustic wave out of the elastic waves to that of a bulk wave and relaxes the difference of propagation speeds between the surface acoustic wave and the bulk wave. |
