PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to operate an input device irrespective of how a device body is held when the device body is operated, being held by hand.SOLUTION: A controller 1 refers to a holding state table storage unit M4 on the basis of a contact state indicating which of plural touch sensors 10 comes in contact with a human body to determine a holding state indicating how a device body is held by hand. On the basis of the holding state, the controller refers to an operation button position table storage unit M5 to assign a predetermined non-contact touch sensor 10 as an operation button (a touch operation unit) of a predetermined function. That is, a touch sensor 10 at a position suitable for the current holding state among non-contact touch sensors 10 where no human body comes in contact is selected as an operation position, and the touch sensor 10 at the operation position is assigned as the operation button of the predetermined function.
