PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patent retrieval device by which retrieval by using a proper patent retrieval style is easily possible.SOLUTION: A patent retrieval device includes: a related term retrieval part 104 which retrieves related terms associated with terms matching to keywords of a patent retrieval style accepted by a retrieval style acceptance part 103 from related term information; a correction determination part 106 which determines whether or not to correct the patent retrieval style according to retrieval results; a candidate keyword acquisition part 107 which acquires related terms corresponding to terms matching to the respective keywords as candidate keywords when it is determined to correct the patent retrieval style; a patent retrieval style correction part 112 which corrects the patent retrieval style by a candidate keyword specified by a specification instruction accepted by a specification instruction acceptance part 111; and a retrieval part 113 which retrieves the patent gazette by using the corrected patent retrieval style when the correction determination part 106 determines to correct the patent retrieval style, and retrieves the patent gazette by the patent retrieval style accepted by the retrieval style acceptance part 103 when the correction determination part 106 determines not to correct the patent retrieval style to output retrieval results.
