Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively avoid a misfire in deceleration, in an internal combustion engine attached with a low pressure loop EGR device.SOLUTION: This internal combustion engine 0 includes a low pressure loop type exhaust gas recirculating device formed by arranging an EGR valve 22 in an EGR passage 2 for connecting the downstream side of a turbine 52 in an exhaust passage 4 and the upstream side of a compressor 51 in an intake passage 3. When there is a deceleration request, a throttle valve 33 existing on the downstream side of the compressor 51 is temporarily opened larger than opening corresponding to the deceleration request, and control for thinning out a combustion frequency in a cylinder 1 is performed.
