Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for production of reduced iron, capable of further improving granulation when agglomerating a mixture to be a raw material of the reduced iron.SOLUTION: The process for production of the reduced iron includes: a kneading step of kneading a mixture containing powdery iron oxide raw material and a reducing material; a granulation step of agglomerating the mixture after being kneaded and turning it to an agglomerate; and a reduction step of reducing the agglomerate and generating the reduced iron. In the kneading step, moisture at or above 60°C is added to the mixture. Thus, when agglomerating the mixture to be the raw material of the reduced iron, the granulation property is improved further.
