Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a long stretched film that has an oblique delayed phase axis and hardly causes variations in a thickness and in optical characteristics in its longitudinal direction when stretching a film in an oblique direction by using a tenter, to provide the long stretched film, and to provide a long polarization plate and a liquid crystal display device which use the long stretched film.SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the long stretched film which stretches a long film made of a thermoplastic resin in a direction oblique to the longitudinal direction of the film by using an oblique stretching apparatus, the oblique stretching apparatus has a guide roll nearest to an inlet of the oblique stretching apparatus, the guide roll having a main shaft whose position is distant from a holder (clipping holder) at the inlet of the oblique stretching apparatus by 20 to 100 cm.
