MANAGEMENT OF TERMINAL CONNECTION STATE IN NETWORK AUTHENTICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve security in a network.SOLUTION: A network repeater includes an authentication processing unit that generates first information identifying an authenticated terminal device according to the result of Web authentication determining connection possibility of the terminal device to a network, and manages repeating possibility of communication data between the terminal device and a node on the network, a DHCP snooping processing unit that snoops DHCP communication data between the terminal device and a DHCP server, and generates second information identifying a layer 3 address assigned to each terminal device, and a terminal search processing unit that identifies the authenticated terminal device based on the first information, identifies the layer 3 address assigned to the authenticated terminal device based on the second information, and is able to transmit confirmation communication data confirming whether the authenticated terminal device is connected to the network or not to the identified layer 3 address.
