LIQUID CRYSTAL PANEL AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal panel with excellent viewing angle characteristics and contrast, and a liquid crystal display device including the liquid crystal panel.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal panel 2 comprises a liquid crystal cell 10, a first polarization plate 20 attached to a back face side of the liquid crystal cell 10, and a second polarization plate 30 attached to an observation side of the liquid crystal cell 10. The liquid crystal cell 10 is a liquid crystal cell of phase difference layer in-cell type, and includes a pair of light-transmitting substrates 11 that face each other, a liquid crystal layer 13, an electrode 12, and a first phase difference layer 16. The first polarization plate 20 is formed by stacking a first external resin film 25, a first polarization film 21, and a first adhesive layer 27 in this order. The second polarization plate 30 is formed by stacking a second external resin film 35, a second polarization film 31, and a second adhesive layer 37 in this order. At least one of the first polarization plate 20 and the second polarization plate 30 further includes a second phase difference layer 23 disposed between the polarization film and the adhesive layer.
